Last week, the event manager Hydrogen Industry Leaders held its HIL London Conference "Advancing Clean Energy Innovation”, gathering industry leaders from across Europe to discuss key technologies for low-carbon hydrogen production and showcase current projects that convert existing gas distribution grids to hydrogen.
Ready4H2 Director Barbara Jinks led interactive discussions with the audience and panellists on the topics of hydrogen safety, infrastructure, technical innovation and collaboration (key to the success of any new process). This included updates on Ready4H2 research results on the need for distribution grids to be ready to deliver hydrogen to end users in all sectors, latest distribution grid conversion projects in Europe (with presentations from H2Direkt and Hamburg-WIN), the development of technical standards for hydrogen infrastructure in Germany, safety of electrolysis plants and more.
As Barbara stated: “The conference was very informative for audience members, mostly from the UK, who had not previously had the chance to learn about the activities of Ready4H2 and the other research, gas infrastructure developments and field projects that are ongoing to deliver hydrogen at scale. The information shared at the event was important for the attendees to stay up to date with hydrogen developments and to know what is happening in the energy sector.”
